If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Wow. Just Wow. I don’t think that any words I could think up would be as beautiful as the one’s used throughout the book, Gayle Forman is a genius, but I’ll try and do my best. It was amazing, I loved everything about it. I even loved the fact that it made me cry and cry with pure distress.

The plot was brilliant, the characters perfect and the general feel of the book was just plain moving. I loved how you almost watched Adam and Mia’s relationship developed, how it felt like you were there with Mia, experiencing everything she experienced. I must admit that I was rooting for them from the beginning, but that’s probably just because I’m a hopeless romantic.

Yes, the beginning was sad, and heartbreaking and I don’t doubt that many of you will be suffering from severe emotional scarring for the larger part of your lives. However if it wasn’t sad then it wouldn’t have been quite so perfect, the book needed that solid hit of emotion that engaged it’s readers right from the start. But then again,  I probably would have read it anyway.

I think the most brilliant thing about was that although it had nothing to do with the supernatural or paranormal it still gave you that feel of something magical. The film was great as well, the actors deserve a pat on the back for it, all of their performances were truly inspirational.

Again, I don’t have the word’s to say just how amazing this book is, but I don’t think I have to say it. Because everyone who has reas the book will be thinking the same thing. Wow.
